From Surprise Attack Games and Achebit-
Dungeon League takes everything that is awesome about dungeon crawling and spews it out as 10 minutes of chaotic, multiplayer, party-game action. Up to four players take to the procedurally generated dungeon to battle each other (and hordes of enemies) in a series of two minute rounds pulled at random from a stack of wildly different Quests such as Deathmatch, Capture the Flag or Witch’s Eye. The first to claim three rounds is crowned the Champion of the Dungeon League.
In between rounds, the heroes rapidly level up based on how well they performed in the dungeon, spending skill points on unlocking new spells and abilities. They then blow all their gold on magical items at the shop.
Having developed Dungeon League for over a year with extensive testing at events, Achebit and Surprise Attack Games are bringing a highly polished slice of the game to Early Access to build a larger community, gather feedback to help with balancing as well as player-input on new content. Achebit have committed to extensive content additions before the final launch and are planning two brand new co-operative modes (Gauntlet and Survival), an additional competitive mode (Dungeon Ball), more Quests for Tournament mode plus more characters, monsters, items and dungeon sets.
Local multiplayer dungeon crawling party game

It is common practice these days for video game developers to bring on famous actors to perform voices for characters in video games. Many of our favorite actors often make the leap into voice acting because video games make a ton of money, and it can be exciting for gamers to play and listen to their favorites. Many actors love video games themselves, so I’m sure they love the chance to be featured in their favorite titles. Some go as far as naming their children after their favorite characters. One of the world’s favorite comedians, the late Robin Williams, named his daughter Zelda, after his favorite Nintendo title. Well the love for gaming in the Williams’ family has taken a new turn! Zelda Williams has been brought on to voice a character in the upcoming release, King’s Quest : A Knight to Remember. She voices the character Amaya Blackstone. The game also features Christopher Lloyd, Wallace Shawn, Tom Kenny, Josh Keaton, and Maggie Elizabeth Jones.
The famed series of games, King’s Quest, has been brought back to life thanks to Activision Blizzard and The Odd Gentlemen. When Activision announced they were bringing back Sierra Games, after acquiring the rights, they reached out to The Odd Gentlemen to revamp the popular game. While the new title isn’t a sequel or a remake, you walk through memory lane with King Graham as he tells his life story to his grand daughter, Gwendolyn.
The trailer gives you a tease of the beautiful animation, but it is tough to decipher actual gameplay. There will be new episodes released on a set schedule, with the first episode released on July 28 for PC, PS3, and PS4. Xbox fans get their release July 29. Check out the trailer below!
An original horror-adventure duo from Infogrames, (the company well known for their Alone in the Dark series) Shadow of the Comet and Prisoner of Ice are two of the very few games that get to boast actually taking place within the Call of Cthulhu mythos. With a pedigree like that, you can be sure that you’re getting the best of the atmosphere and uncomfortable flavor of a true H.P. Lovecraft story.
Shadow of the Comet (Win + Linux) is the tale of a young British photographer out to capture a one-of-a-kind comet passing over an isolated New England town of Illsmouth. He discovers that the last person to attempt this spent the rest of his life in a high-security lunatic asylum. Soon, he’ll also discover why… In Prisoner of Ice(Win + Mac + Linux) an indirect sequel to Shadow of the Comet, you’re just another officer aboard the HMS Victoria – a military sub returning from a simple extraction operation. Just another run of the mill job, the target is safe and you’re counting down the time till your shore leave. Little do you know, it’s also a matter of time until you look straight in the eye of an ancient evil aboard.
Shadow of the Comet and Prisoner of Ice are terrifying 2D adventure games that received critical acclaim for successfully capturing the unique atmosphere of tales like “At the Mountains of Madness”, “The Dunwich Horror”, “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” and, of course, “The Call of Cthulhu”. Whether you’re a Lovecraft fan, or just searching for the right excuse to discover the legend – these are stories you have to experience.

Based on the award-winning HBO television drama series, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series tells the story of House Forrester. Caught up in the fight for the Iron Throne, they are placed in a precarious position where members of the household must do everything they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom.
The fifth episode is available now on PC/Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, and on PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in North America (SCEA) and Europe (SCEE). The episode will be available July 22nd on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be coming to compatible iOS devices via the App Store and to Android-based devices on July 23rd.
In this penultimate episode, the actions of every Forrester are vital to the survival of the house. Rodrik’s alliance with House Glenmore, and his defiance of the Whitehills, has drawn the ire of an even greater threat: Ramsay Snow. Far across the Narrow Sea in Essos, with Meereen now a free city, Asher is close to securing the army he desperately needs to return home and save his family. In King’s Landing, Mira’s activities at Tommen’s coronation have not escaped the attention of Margaery Tyrell, and Cersei has realized that the handmaiden may prove useful in her political games. Finally, beyond the Wall, Gared’s unlikely allies are reluctant to help in the search for the North Grove… but this far into the frozen wilds, Crows and Free Folk have a common enemy; and winter is coming.
“Faced with bloodthirsty pit-fighters, dangers North of the Wall, and equally perilous political maneuvering in King’s Landing, we’re putting players in the most action-packed episode of the season so far,” said Kevin Bruner, CEO and Co-Founder of Telltale Games. “Extremely difficult choices will fall upon House Forrester in a cliffhanger ending before the dramatic season finale that’s yet to come.”
The game series is based on the world, characters and events seen in the hit HBO TV show, which in turn is based on George R. R. Martin’s books (A Song of Ice and Fire). The events in the game series begin towards the end of Season Three of the series, and end right before the beginning of Season Five. Players visit familiar locations such as King’s Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.
The game is played from five different points of view. Each is either a direct Forrester family member, or a person in service to the House. Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction.
Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series – Episode 5: ‘A Nest of Vipers’ is rated ‘M’ (Mature) for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, Sexual Themes, and Strong Language by the ESRB. Future content in the series is yet to be rated by the ESRB.

Every year, we all wait for the big one. The biggest Comic Convention of the year… San Diego Comic Con. Due to all of my awesome volunteer work with the Hollywood Sci Fi Museum, I am lucky to be one of the chosen few volunteers who actually gets to attend SDCC. With my great friends Penny Lane, Tyler, Karina, and head of the museum Huston, we all work tirelessly to help raise donations for the upcoming mecca of sci fi, the Hollywood Sci Fi Museum. This year we had an incredible replica of Doctor Who’s Tardis for attendees to take their photo in. It was definitely a lot of fun.
Each day of the show, I wore a different cosplay outfit. Thursday I was Lady Link, which I made myself. Friday I wore a latex nurse Harley Quinn, thanks to my pal Penny. We swapped costumes for the day, and she wore my Catwoman catsuit, which she looked quite hot in! I saved my favorite cosplay for Saturday. I worked for weeks and weeks on my Ciri cosplay and I was so proud to showcase it at SDCC. I made everything from my sword to my tunic! I did get a little help sanding wood, lol, from Chris and my girl Michelle. It was definitely a lot of work, but it was well worth the payoff. To have people approach me, recognizing my character and commending my crafty work, made me feel incredible. A true highlight was running into the only other Witcher I saw at the con… a great Geralt and Triss! I was stoked to get the three of us together for a photo.
Besides all of the cosplay action and volunteer work, I definitely had a complete fangirl moment. The museum booth is often lucky enough to have famously talented actors and voice actors from different shows, movies, and even video games. John DiMaggio, the voice of Bender from Futurama as well as Jake from Adventure Time, just so happens to be the voice of MARCUS FENIX!!!! Yes! My true love from Gears of War, Marcus Fenix, whom I’ve also listed as one of my top five bangable video game characters, was sitting in front of me! I saw his character photo on the table and realized he was the voice. I instantly went into girly mode and got very excited! It was cool to see the look on John’s face when he could see I was a true fan of his work. In an instant, John began to do Marcus’ voice and I melted. He started doing one of the typical lines where Marcus is setting up the attack plan at the beginning of a mission. The cool part was when he said “Alana You’re coming with me!” It was right out of the game! Truly a moment I will never forget.
All in all, Comic Con kicked major butt for me this year. I love running into my favorite cosplay pals. Seeing Ela Darling and Sinn Sage was great! I had an amazing time with friends, and even had a cute boy reject me hahahaha There’s a first for everything right? Good times. And if that cute boy Dallas ever reads this… you’ve still got my number hahaha!
One of the hottest games to be released this year was easily The Witcher 3 WILD HUNT from CDProjekt Red. With Witcher character cosplay being a rare sight at cons, it was great to have Alana tap into her inner Ciri. Alana Evans, our very own Super Pink Ninja, spent several hours creating an ideal costume for her favorite Witcher. During a break from the show, she headed outside the San Diego convention with photographer and friend from The Legion of Nerds @T_Pooley and he shot some great photos for us! Check out the entire gallery of Alana Evans as Ciri. Here are a few photos from the gallery. To see them all, click here!
